YOU’VE GOT QUESTIONS, WE’VE GOT ANSWERS
Q: Who can register their business for HMM?
A: Anyone over the age of 18 can register their business for HMM. Persons under the age of 18 must be registered by a legal adult and be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times. Food vendors must obtain and display the proper documents for the Health Department. MLMs not accepted. HMM has the right to accept or deny any applicant for any reason.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: HMM events are available for registration online. In-person and day-of registration/payments are not accepted unless stated otherwise. Early registration is encouraged, as it gives HMM time to promote your attendance. Season passes available, now.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: You'll want to bring all tables, chairs and other necessities you may need for your pop-up shop. Weights are required when using a tent outside.
Q: Will there be restrooms?
A: At HMM we strive to give you the best experience possible. We will always have restrooms available for your use.
Q: Am I required to have a tent?
A: Tents are not required but will be very useful for you on outdoor market days. If you choose to bring a tent, please bring a helper or know how to set up solo. Helpers are not provided, as we are each setting up our own individual shops. Weights are required for all tents. For public safety, you will be asked to take your tent down if you do not have proper weights.
Q: Will someone be able to help me set up?
A: We love helping when we can, and encourage everyone to lend a hand if possible, but please do not plan on having a helper provided for you (of course you can bring your own!). You are responsible for your own load in/out.
Q: Which payment methods should I prepare to accept?
A: We recommend coming prepared with a variety of payment options such as cash, card, Venmo and CashApp.
Q: Is there electricity or wifi available?
A: During the indoor season we have electricity and wifi available for your use. Outdoor markets will not have either one provided.
Q: What happens if I sign up and pay for an event, but can’t make it on that day?
A: We understand that life happens and sometimes you won't be able to make it to a week you reserved. Unfortunately at this time, we will not be allowing payments for weeks missed to be credited towards another date or any reimbursement of any kind.
Q: What happens if there is a chance of bad weather during the outdoor season?
A: HMM operates rain or shine. You are responsible for your own business and if you feel uncomfortable taking a chance in the weather, we won’t hold it against you if you stay home! If bad weather approaches during market hours while we are set up, you are welcome to leave at any time. In the chance of severe weather, all tents must be immediately lowered at the sound of the alarms (we’ve learned from experience), and break down will happen immediately.
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Please leave your pets at home. We’ve allowed pets in the past, but due to damages caused, unprofessional behavior and damage to others pop-up shops, we are no longer allowing this. You will be asked to leave if you bring your pet.
Q: Is it okay if I bring my kids?
A: Yep! If you plan to bring children with you to any HMM event, they must be attended to at all times and will not be permitted to run around the space, indoor or outdoor. Winter markets are held inside with several other businesses which operate in a noise friendly environment. During the outdoor season, it is your responsibility to monitor your children and keep them in your respective space at all times.
Q: How can I help promote HMM?
A: Sharing HMM graphics and event posters are the number one way, along with word of mouth, to advertise our/your events. We would love to see everyone utilize social media to help us advertise as well as see you all build a stronger media presence!
